Dale Kochard retired in 2016 as Assistant Vice President of Community and Regional Affairs for Lehigh University where he was responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive community relations program integrating Lehigh University and the surrounding communities. Prior to working at Lehigh, he was President of the Bethlehem Area Chamber of Commerce and worked 28 years with UGI Gas Utilities; ending the last ten years of his career with UGI as Vice President of the Lehigh Division.
Kochard has always been very active in the community. He currently serves on the board of the Hispanic Center of the Lehigh Valley. During his career he served on many boards including the South Side Vision 2020 Steering Committee, the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Lehigh Valley Economic Development, LVIP, Easter Seals Eastern Pennsylvania (Chair), PBS 39, and the South Bethlehem Neighborhood Center. He was Chair of the Bridges Foundation and served on the Advisory Committee for the Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School. He is currently a member of the Bethlehem Rotary Club.
Kochard is a graduate of Lehigh University, where he holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. He and his wife Beverly reside in Upper Macungie Township.
