Sonia Collazo Strockyj is a native New Yorker and has lived in the Lehigh Valley for over 20 years. Sonia works at Bethlehem Area School District for 21 years. Her education career began in New York City and continued in Kyiv, Ukraine as a second-grade teacher. Sonia speaks three languages and now learning a fourth one, Italian. She published two children’s books, The Spider and The Christmas Tree and Marilu Does the Laundry. Her novel will be published next spring, “I Just Want to Go Home.” Sonia enjoys traveling, especially to Italy. She is passionate about children and enjoys guiding them to see their potential.
